What to include

To help us sort things out faster, please include:

• the app version (Settings → About) and your Android version;

• your phone or tablet model;

• the station name, if the problem is with a particular station;

• a screenshot, if it is about the interface.

Requirements

Android 12 or later. Chromecast needs Google Play services; everything else works without them.

Installation

1. Download the APK file from the project page.

2. Open it on your phone. If Android asks, allow installing apps from this source: your browser or file manager.

3. Tap Install.

FAQ

How do I update the app?

Download the new version from the project page and install it over the current one. Favorites, your own stations and settings are kept.

Do I need an account?

No. You can listen, add stations to favorites and create your own stations without signing in — everything is stored on the device. An account syncs favorites and your own stations across devices, including RadioX for iPhone and Mac.

A station does not play

First try another station: if none of them play, switch to the backup server in Settings. If only one station fails, it may have several streams — pick another one in the player. If that does not help, send us the station name.

Why is RadioX missing in Android Auto?

Android Auto only shows apps installed from Google Play. To make RadioX appear, turn on developer mode in Android Auto (tap the version number in Android Auto settings several times), then enable Unknown sources in the developer menu.

Why can’t I rewind live radio?

Rewinding works for stations with MP3 and AAC streams. HLS streams cannot be rewound. Recording stops when you pause, switch stations or lose the connection.

Where are my recordings?

In Settings, in the recordings section: you can play, share or delete them there.

The equalizer does not work while casting

That is expected: while casting, the receiver plays the stream itself and the app cannot process the sound.

Is my data sent anywhere?

Only what the app needs to work: catalog searches, track titles for artwork and, if you are signed in, your favorites and own stations. See the privacy policy for details.
